Marie’s charming gallery with a view
Visit Marie’s charming gallery with a view, located dockside at the Port of Ilwaco, a tiny old-world fishing port in Washington State, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. The gallery features originals and prints created by artist and owner Marie Powell!
Picturesque Port of Ilwaco is a tiny fishing village located in a strikingly beautiful part of Washington, where the Columbia River empties into the Pacific Ocean. Visitors enjoy strolling the waterfront, which offers many shops and restaurants, as well as the excitement of the commercial and recreational fishing businesses. The Port’s thriving Saturday Markets (May through Sept.) add fun and interest to the atmosphere.
Nearby is the very end of the Lewis & Clark Trail, where we now have the nation’s newest National Park, the Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Park , together with extensive hiking trails, a new Interpretive Center, and many opportunities to learn about the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Two historic lighthouses are within 2 miles of Ilwaco, Cape Disappointment, and North Head.
It’s an excellent area for hiking, bicycling, fishing, kayaking, beachcombing, clamming, and sightseeing. We are located within a mile from the gorgeous sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean. So visit the Marie Powell Gallery at the Port of Ilwaco, and enjoy the fabulous sights, sounds, and activities available in this stunning corner of the Pacific Northwest!
